Monica Vela-Vick practices in the area of litigation, focusing on commercial litigation and tort defense. She advises and represents clients in all stages of litigation, including pre-suit issues, discovery, motion practice, and trial.

Monica has litigated at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels. Her legal experience includes work on behalf of governmental and public entities, and civil work on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Monica defends insurers and self-insured entities against claims for personal injury and property loss. She has experience handling class actions in both state and federal court. She has also represented business entities in contract disputes.

Having trained, practiced and resided in other states, Monica brings valuable insight to the Phelps team. Ms. Vela-Vick is licensed to practice law in Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
