Madison County Bar Association February Luncheon

Phelps Jackson Partner Todd Butler will speak at the Madison County Bar Association’s February luncheon on Feb. 12 about his recent experience appearing before the U.S. Supreme Court in Gabriel Olivier v. City of Brandon, No. 24-993.

Butler and associate Mallory Bland represent the City of Brandon, Miss. in the case. At issue was whether a 1994 Supreme Court decision, Heck v. Humphrey, barred protestor Gabriel Olivier from bringing a federal civil rights challenge to an ordinance under which he was convicted.
