Phelps Mourns Sudden Loss of Senior Partner, Bill Beasley
Phelps Senior Partner and friend William “Bill” Beasley passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 11, 2022. Bill practiced in the Tupelo office focusing on civil litigation and corporate law. He is survived by his wife and three children including Will Beasley, an associate at the Firm.
He received his bachelors and juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi, and later a master’s degree in Theology from Loyola University. Bill was a deeply spiritual man whose intellect and depth of study, contemplation and reasoning made him as a man of universal strength and purpose. A practicing lawyer for over 40 years, Bill’s character and embodiment of the highest ideals of the law and civility set him apart in the practice of law.
He was recognized by his peers in the leading peer review publications in the country. He was a leader in the community and will be missed by all. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
