Phelps Welcomes Jen Carman as New Director of Professional Development
FORT WORTH – February 23, 2026 – Phelps has named Jen Carman as its new Director of Professional Development, a role that underscores the firm’s continued investment in the growth and success of its lawyers.
Carman will work closely with firm leadership to design and deliver development programs that are practical, transparent and tailored to lawyers at every stage of their careers. Her focus will be on strengthening lawyer performance, engagement, and long-term retention across the firm’s 17 offices.
With more than two decades of experience in professional development at leading global law firms, Carman brings a clear perspective on what helps lawyers thrive and better service clients—and how firms can support them in meaningful, measurable ways. She is also an ICF-accredited professional coach, working with lawyers to sharpen skills, navigate career transitions, and reach their professional goals.
