Two Texas Attorneys Selected to 2019 Texas Super Lawyers List

Two attorneys from Phelps Dunbar’s Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth offices were named to the 2019 edition of Texas Super Lawyers.

Peri Alkas, a partner in Phelps’ Houston office who practices in the Insurance group, was named to Super Lawyers for the eighth consecutive year. Alkas was also named to “The Best Lawyers in America” in Insurance Law in Houston and Litigation – Insurance in Houston earlier this year.

Marcus Tucker, a partner in Phelps’ Houston office who practices in the Civil Litigation group, was named to Super Lawyers for the third consecutive year.

The Super Lawyers list selection process evaluates attorneys based on 12 criteria including clients, experience, licenses and certifications, verdicts, awards and honors, scholarly lectures, pro bono and community service among others. After the assessment, peers vote on lawyers across a state or geographic area.

These attorneys are considered the top five percent of attorneys to the Super Lawyers (Thompson Reuters) list in Texas as voted on by their legal peers throughout the State. They have been vetted through independent research for professional accomplishments, distinction in law practice as well as peer recognition.
