Jeff Clayman focuses his practice in the areas of tort litigation, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. He defends commercial property owners, manufacturers, heavy industry, commercial transportation and trucking companies in a variety of cases involving toxic torts, constitutional torts, serious personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability and construction defects. As part of his toxic tort practice, Jeff primarily litigates cases involving diseases allegedly caused by exposure to asbestos.
As an insurance defense attorney, a substantial part of Jeff’s practice consists of representing insurance companies in coverage disputes and defending direct actions including claims of bad faith and loss of business income. Additionally, he counsels insurance companies on coverage issues and evaluates exposure for personal injury and wrongful death claims. He regularly works with insurance agents, brokers and attorneys on professional liability claims.
