Jolee Land practices in the area of employment law with a focus on assisting clients in responding to pre-suit charges of race, sex, national origin, and disability discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Commission on Human Relations. Additionally, she represents employers in both state and federal court regarding discrimination, wrongful termination, and fraudulent inducement claims, as well as enforcement of noncompetition and confidentiality agreements. She also assists employers to draft, maintain, and enforce personnel policies and procedures on topics such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, drug free workplace, discipline and discharge of employees, wage and hour compliance, and various other issues.
Ms. Land served as a legal intern for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the Tampa Area Office and was an intern for the Hon. Elizabeth A. Kovachevich, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a former partner at Phelps Dunbar serving as special counsel.
