Julie Girard practices in the areas of labor and employment and litigation. She represents employers in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations through administrative proceedings, mediation and trial. Julie has broad experience defending employers in discrimination, retaliation, family and medical leave and wage and hour cases. She regularly advises employers on compliance with various labor and employment laws including the preparation and review of employment contracts, severance agreements, and employee handbooks and policies. Prior to joining Phelps, Julie was an associate at a nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm.
