    Magda Galitou Yiannopoulos practices in the field of admiralty and maritime law. She represents foreign and domestic vessel owners, charterers, underwriters, and offshore energy companies in a variety of marine and energy matters.

    Prior to joining Phelps, Magda worked at two litigation firms in Greece, where she represented insurers and insured against general tort liability claims, as well as corporations and businesses in commercial litigation disputes. Upon moving to the United States, Magda worked as a paralegal at a national business law firm in Atlanta. Her background and experience gives her a unique and well-rounded perspective on two different jurisdictions and enables her to best benefit her clients and anticipate their needs both inside and outside the United States.

    A native Greek, Magda was born and raised on the island of Lesvos. She enjoys the international facet of the maritime industry and how it brings together all of her past experience and skills.
