    Real EstateConstruction/DesignEminent Domain

Richard DeBerry helps owners, developers, public entities and utilities navigate real estate, construction, and eminent domain issues. Board-certified in commercial real estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, he has significant experience structuring and closing complex, multi-party agreements and litigating real estate and construction matters. His litigation experience informs his transactional work, and his transactional experience informs his approach to litigation. This balance allows Richard to chart a strategic course designed to achieve clients’ goals.

Public entities and utilities also rely on Richard’s counsel to acquire and complete real estate and infrastructure projects. He has handled eminent domain matters involving condemnation for:

      • Pipelines
      • Electric and water utilities
      • Highways and roadways
      • Airports and railroads
      • Bridges and other infrastructure

His experience on public and private sides of infrastructure deals provides clients with efficient resolutions to eminent domain, condemnation and regulatory issues.

Private owners, including ranchers and farmers, and developers often task Richard with acquiring or selling real property or dividing (known as “partition”) real property owned by two or more undivided interest owners.
