Rob Gidel represents national and regional real estate developers, private and public real estate investment trusts (REITs), private equity firms and franchisees, as well as high net-worth individuals and their affiliated family offices on various business transactions. He also represents national and regional landlords and tenants as well as banking and lending institutions.
His practice involves:
- Negotiating complex real estate documents
- Assisting with the acquisition and disposition of office, retail, apartment and industrial buildings, shopping centers, hotels, data centers and mixed-use properties
- Representing national and regional tenants and landlords in the leasing of office and industrial buildings and mixed-use centers
- Securing land use and zoning entitlements including governmental approvals
- Advising on property rights, entitlements, exclusive covenants, deed restrictions and other title-related matters
- Counseling national and regional banks, credit unions and other financial institutions on real estate-related projects
His background in private equity provides clients a unique perspective on business risk, growth and planning. He also heads up Phelps' Tampa business team.
