Stephanie Poucher is at home in a courtroom. Fortune 100 employers and business leaders call on her to untangle complicated legal and factual issues at every stage of litigation. Her poise and experience arguing before state and federal courts position clients to resolve cases efficiently and with confidence in the result.

Stephanie’s commitment to clients allows her to work collaboratively as she steers them through each stage of employment claims and commercial disputes. She helps clients make critical compliance decisions and advises them on pre-suit negotiations, dispositive motions, bench and jury trials, and all the way through any necessary appellate challenges.

Stephanie distills complex cases to assert clear, persuasive arguments that protect clients’ interests. Her candid approach can help parties mediate issues without the need for trial. When pre-litigation resolutions are not an option, Stephanie builds litigation strategies that extend beyond verdicts, preserving facts and advancing arguments to defend clients’ interests on appeal. She leverages her ability to clarify issues for the court to craft strong writ applications, appellate briefs and oral arguments.

Clients rely on Stephanie’s courtroom experience as both an attorney and a former law clerk to three prominent federal judges. She’s tried numerous cases to verdict and brings a firm grasp of court procedure to map out clients’ options as claims proceed. Among other legal disputes, founders and executives trust her composure to handle contentious conflicts involving:

    • ADA, FMLA, PWFA and Title VII actions
    • Contract interpretation
    • Complex and mass tort claims
    • Employee termination
    • Louisiana Wage Payment Act claims
