ABA Presents What the Future Holds: Navigating DOJ Trends in Health Care Enforcement

    April 04, 2024 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST

Baton Rouge partner Walt Green will join the breakout session "What the Future Holds: Navigating DOJ Trends in Health Care Enforcement" at the ABA Health Law Section Emerging Issues Conference. This panel will explore recent civil and criminal enforcement trends and discuss what lies ahead for the future of health care in 2024. The discussion will also include best practices to comply with health care laws and regulations, including how a well-constructed compliance plan can lessen the impact of an enforcement action by state or federal agencies, and education on the pitfalls of dealing with marketers or medical suppliers who intend to involve medical professionals in prohibited activities.

Phelps is a sponsor of this year's conference, presented at the JW Marriott New Orleans. The annual conference provides an insiders' view of the cutting-edge topics and timely issues affecting the health care industry, with discussions on the future of federal and state health care programs, medical-legal partnerships, prioritizing diversity and inclusion in the industry, big data, and updated Stark information.
