Eight Phelps Practices Ranked Nationally, All U.S. Offices On 2022 "Best Law Firms" List
NEW ORLEANS — Nov. 4, 2021 — Each year, The Best Lawyers in America recognizes those deemed “Best Law Firms” through peer review and a transparent survey process. Since last year’s report, Phelps’ insurance and railroad practices moved up in the national rankings. And for the first time this year, the firm was nationally recognized for its construction litigation work. U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” ranked eight Phelps practice areas nationally:

In addition to its national standings, all of Phelps’ U.S. offices and more than 75% of its practices made the metropolitan rankings, with 85 areas earning spots in the top tier. In total, 173 practice areas were recognized, with 55 newly honored areas and 17 achieving higher rankings than last year.
To be ranked by “Best Law Firms,” a firm must have at least one attorney ranked by Best Lawyers, strong feedback from clients, and rave reviews from lawyers at other firms. The 2022 Best Lawyers list featured 146 Phelps lawyers from 12 offices.
