Guiding High School Athletes Before Louisiana’s NIL Task Force

Phelps Baton Rouge Counsel Michael Victorian walks athletes and their families through the transition to college and the complex world of name, image and likeness (NIL) deals. He was invited to address a Louisiana legislative task force about challenges high school athletes face and the benefits of representation. The task force meeting in Baton Rouge attracted athletic leaders from across the state, student-athletes and coaches. The task force, chaired by Rep. Rashid Young (Homer), will recommend changes to current law to ensure fairness in deals undertaken by student-athletes.
