Phelps Grows Florida Real Estate Team with Addition of Andy Peluso
TAMPA, Fla. — June 8, 2026 — Phelps announces today that Andy Peluso has joined the firm as a partner in the firm’s Tampa office to lead Gulf South clients through complex real estate transactions and development projects. His experience deepens the firm’s support for real estate growth and business expansion in Florida and across the Southeast.
“As outside counsel, we have enjoyed a strong working relationship with Andy, and we are delighted to welcome him to the firm,” said Jason Pill, managing partner of Phelps’ Tampa office. Andy is a versatile business lawyer who adds another dimension of experience to our office and firm. As a former general counsel, he understands our clients’ needs and how to address their myriad concerns, from business strategy, corporate governance, and growth to risk and compliance.”
Andy has transactional experience across acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, entitlements, and commercial finance covering multiple real estate asset classes — single-family, multifamily, office, and retail. His particular focus and depth in the build-for-rent and single-family rental space further enhances the Tampa business group’s existing stronghold in the marketplace. Andy is the co-chair of the Florida chapter of the National Rental Home Council, a trade association for owner-operators, investors, and vendors in the single-family rental home industry.
He brings to Phelps the perspective of an executive, who has led the operations and legal strategy for a vertically integrated real estate manager and investment firm that develops and manages build-for-rent and single-family communities. Andy also has substantial experience working with institutional capital partners, joint ventures and fund- and venture-level financing structures.
“I have worked for years with lawyers in the Phelps’ Tampa office, and I have been blown away by the caliber of people and the capabilities of Phelps,” said Andy Peluso. “I’m particularly passionate about the build-for-rent and single-family rental industry and I could not pass up the opportunity to support and grow this service offering with my new colleagues at Phelps to benefit families across the country.”
A Tampa native, Andy serves as Board President of AMIkids Tampa, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the success of youth in the Tampa Bay area. In addition, he is a member of the Jesuit High School alumni association. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Duke University School of Law and his B.S.B.A in finance cum laude from the University of Florida. He was initiated into Florida Blue Key in 2009.
He is the third real estate partner and second in Florida to join Phelps this year.
