Chris Bach helps employers and companies manage disputes that disrupt operations, increase risk and threaten business priorities. He combines complex commercial litigation and labor and employment experience to resolve high-stakes workplace claims and business conflicts with a strategic, fact-driven approach.

Chris guides clients through employment litigation and agency proceedings, including EEOC charges, discrimination and disability claims, and pregnancy and leave issues. He also advises on front-end employment issues, helping employers assess risk early, respond strategically and address problems before they become larger conflicts.

A significant part of Chris’ practice involves complex litigation, including class actions and FLSA collective actions, along with restrictive covenant, trade secrets and shareholder derivative matters. His background as a law clerk for two federal judges and dispositive motion experience strengthen his ability to cut through complicated records, frame key issues clearly and position claims for efficient resolution.

    Experience

    • Secured favorable pre-trial resolution for multiple insurers in a high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional insurance coverage dispute involving aircraft lessors with planes stranded in Russia after the invasion of Ukraine. The matter required management of extensive discovery, coordination with more than a dozen experts, and briefing of numerous dispositive motions in a highly complex factual and legal environment.
    • Negotiated settlement for 20% of demand to resolve pregnancy discrimination and FMLA claims for a major university.
    • Won a key motion in a class action, securing a court order that narrowed the class’s claims and helped to drive a favorable settlement.
    • Arbitrated a matter of first impression to final award.
    • Obtained partial summary judgment in federal court on a breach of contract claim that eliminated nearly all categories of damages.
