    • Contract breaches
    • Delay, scope-of-work and payment disputes
    • Preliminary injunctions and emergency proceedings

While in law school, Nena served as a student ambassador, class representative and articles editor of the Louisiana Law Review.

    Experience

    • Defeated a subcontractor's claim for unpaid funds in partial summary judgment win, securing a federal court ruling that the client's termination of the subcontractor for cause was proper and warranted.
    • Second-chaired a three-day federal bench trial involving a case of first impression after cybercriminals diverted more than $1 million through a sophisticated business email compromise (BEC) fraud scheme targeting vendors and their customers.
    • Obtained multiple bench trial victories across Louisiana for a midstream pipeline company arising out of the construction of a $1 billion natural gas-gathering pipeline.
    • Represented state regulator at trial to secure a defense verdict finding state regulator not at fault for $400 million in losses arising from the second-largest Ponzi scheme in U.S. history.
    • Successfully defended a landowner against a preliminary injunction seeking to halt longstanding activities on residential property based on allegations of nonconforming use, securing a favorable ruling allowing the landowner to continue using his property for its longstanding purpose.
