Pablo Gonzalez guides clients through the complex, evolving issues involving insurance coverage for cybersecurity events. In addition to litigation and mediation, he conducts working reviews of policy language and develops innovative, cost-effective systems to help insurers, reinsurers and syndicates monitor claims.
Pablo leads the firm’s cyber coverage and monitoring team as well as its insurance practice and New Orleans' London claims group. He is a frequent speaker and writer on cyber insurance topics.
Experience
- Represented the London Market in one of the first litigated cyber coverage disputes involving the payment card industry.
- Won a summary judgment motion holding that a major U.S. insurer did not have to defend a policyholder in a data-breach class action involving employees in 14 school districts.
- Coordinates monitoring of cyber claims for 10+ underwriting syndicates on a primary and excess basis.
- Handled numerous business interruption claims arising from Hurricane Katrina.
