Tom Duck

Tom Duck represents large financial services companies on secondary loan market transactions. He represents one of the most active facilitators of secondary loan market transactions in the United States. In connection with this representation, Tom structures, negotiates and closes transactions for the purchase, sale and servicing of mortgages and other financial assets between banks, credit unions, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other institutional investors. Tom handles all legal aspects of the transactions, including drafting and negotiating:

  • Letters of intent
  • Loan purchase agreements
  • Servicing agreements
  • Participation agreements

Additionally, Tom works with companies of all sizes on corporate and governance matters, mergers and acquisitions and tax structures. Tom considers himself not just an attorney, but a trusted advisor who applies a holistic approach and skillful problem-solving to support his clients with respect to all aspects of their business and legal needs. He takes ownership of all deals he is involved in and quickly grasps what matters when it comes to negotiating and getting deals across the finish line.
