Clinton Wolbert is Board Certified in Insurance Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is practice coordinator of the firm’s Houston insurance practice. He focuses his practice on defending insurance companies in suits arising from first-party residential and commercial property claims, bad faith claims, large insurance market coverage claims, third-party coverage disputes, primary/excess coverage issues, UM/UIM matters, and special event coverages.

Clint advocates for clients armed with years of experience leading litigation and trial teams to successful outcomes. By quickly spotting claims issues early on, he gives clients a clear and unvarnished risk analysis and recommends and executes the best course of action to meet their goals, whether that be posturing a claim for early resolution, setting up a claim for summary judgment, or taking a dispute to a jury. He excels at breaking down crucial components of claims through early, detailed file analysis, thorough witness depositions and expert examinations. He narrows issues for trial wherever possible with motions to strike experts and full or partial summary judgment motions.

Clint also provides guidance and legal advice to clients navigating complex or unusual claim issues when matters are early in the claim stage. He serves as bad faith monitoring counsel for claims in jurisdictions across the country.

Firsthand training in the London insurance market, gained from serving as an in-house legal secondee with a Lloyds of London syndicate, adds to his deep understanding of issues that may affect the value of a claim or a potential jury verdict from a client’s institutional perspective. He works closely with each client to develop legal strategies that resolve disputes while protecting their long-term business and reputational needs.

Clint heads the firm's Houston insurance team and serves on its Operations and Associate Development committees.
