George L. Morris IV

George’s passion for medicine led him to work in the health care field for several years prior to pursuing law. He has scrubbed into surgeries, rounded on patients, run an after-hours clinic, overseen care for children with mental health issues, and provided in-home family therapy for at-risk children. Having seen it firsthand, George combines his medical and legal experience to approach each health care contract, regulation and litigation with a 360-degree view.

George has successfully assisted health care provider and insurance clients in matters involving:

• Medical malpractice litigation
• Hospital and health care practice formation/management/disputes
• Medical necessity, coding and other disputes with payors of medical services
• Disputes with licensing boards
• Peer review and credentialing disputes on behalf of both hospital and physicians

George serves as managing partner and health care practice coordinator of the firm’s Birmingham office. His health care passion extends beyond his practice, and he has held leadership positions with the American Heart Association’s Birmingham Heart Walk. He is the proud Den Leader for his son’s Cub Scout Troop.
