Kyle S. Moran

Kyle Moran is a member of the Phelps’ insurance practice group. His practice consists of advising and counseling insurers on casualty, marine and energy claims and underwriting matters, both third-party and first-party. Kyle also regularly represents insurers in coverage litigation. He has completed multiple secondments as in-house counsel in London, where he advised Lloyds market insurers. In addition, Kyle serves as member of the firm’s Operations Committee and managing partner of the Gulfport office.
Experience
- Represented Certain Underwriters at Lloyds, Lloyd and Certain Insurance Companies in MDL 2179 in a $700 million insurance claim stemming from the April 2010 Deepwater Horizon/Macondo Oil Spill.
- Represented Certain Underwriters at Lloyds, London in a multi-million cyber coverage claim for fines and penalties.
- Counsels insurers on property, marine, energy and environmental exposure claims.
- Represents international and domestic insurers in first-party claims, litigation and bad faith claims.
- Represents insureds of international and domestic insurers in various third-party claims, including professional liability claims (lawyers, title agents, engineers).
- Represented manufacturers and suppliers in over 20,000 toxic tort product liability claims.
