Best Law Firms Ranks Phelps Nationally in 22 Practice Areas

NEW ORLEANS—November 5, 2026—Phelps secured rankings from Best Law Firms for its for continued excellence across multiple practice areas. The publication ranked 22 practice areas nationally in its 2027 edition. They are:

Since last year’s rankings, two practices, Financial Services Regulation Law and Litigation - Labor and Employment, moved up to National Tier 2 from National Tier 3.

Overall, Best Law Firms recognized Phelps in 136 top-tier practice areas this year, up from 130 last year. Likewise, the publication ranked 237 practice areas now compared to 226 then. Sixteen Phelps’ offices were recognized in the metropolitan rankings in the 2027 edition.

To be ranked by Best Law Firms, a firm must have at least one lawyer ranked by Best Lawyers, strong feedback from clients and rave reviews from lawyers at other firms.
