Phelps Elects Seven to Partnership, Six to Counsel Classes

NEW ORLEANS – The new year brings new opportunities for growth and leadership. To expand on its already well-recognized partner class, Phelps has named seven attorneys to the firm’s partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

With the addition of these partners, Phelps is poised to begin the new year with its vision on expanding its practice areas while continuing to deliver personal service to clients.

Members of Phelps’ 2020 partner class are:

  • Michael Held (New Orleans, Admiralty) practices in the areas of maritime law, commercial litigation and general insurance defense matters involving both third-party liability claims and first-party coverage issues.
  • Nate Huff (Raleigh, Litigation) concentrates his practice on federal, business and constitutional litigation and white-collar defense.
  • Katie Myers (New Orleans, Insurance) practices in the area of insurance and reinsurance.
  • Joe Reimer (Dallas-Fort Worth, Business) practices in the area of business law with a focus on commercial real estate and general corporate representation.
  • Michael Streich (Houston, Litigation) practices in the areas of litigation and admiralty in the U.S. and Phelps’ London energy group.
  • Jeff Tomlinson (Baton Rouge, Business) practices in the areas of commercial real estate, oil and gas, and negotiating industrial facility agreements with contractors and suppliers.
  • Brie Zarzour (Mobile, Litigation) focuses her practices on civil litigation, including product and professional liability, insurance coverage for healthcare providers, trucking and construction law.

In addition, six lawyers were named to Phelps’ 2020 counsel class:
